OVERVIEW

Charles “Chase” G. Bakaly IV is a dynamic litigator whose focus on complex matters includes business and commercial litigation, eminent domain, real estate, intellectual property, unfair competition, and labor and employment disputes.

Chase provides strategic solutions to a broad spectrum of clients, including Fortune 500 companies, small businesses, private property owners, contractors, public agencies, and individuals. Chase is a trusted advocate for individuals and businesses seeking representation in California state court and U.S. District Courts, state and federal administrative agencies, and alternative dispute resolution forums.

In addition to representing clients in the courtroom, Chase provides comprehensive counsel on pre-litigation and business matters. Recognizing that proactive legal strategies can often prevent costly litigation, Chase works closely with clients to identify potential areas of conflict and develop solutions to mitigate risks.

Chase is active in such legal associations as the American Bar Association and the Los Angeles County Bar Association. Notably, he served as the chair of LACBA’s Armed Forces Committee, which focuses on community service and pro bono legal assistance for military personnel, veterans, and their families.

Prior to his legal career, Chase served as the executive assistant to Ambassador Richard L. Armitage, former U.S. Deputy Secretary of State. Chase earned his J.D. from the University of Southern California and served as a judicial extern for the Honorable Dale S. Fischer of the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California.

Chase was named among the class of the 2023 Lawdragon 500 X – The Next Generation, a cohort recognized as shaping the future of law firms. Chase is a member of the Globalaw Leadership Programme (GLP), where he expands his global perspective and leadership capabilities.
