Attorney – Labor & Employment/Litigation

Job Summary:

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in California employment law, including experience with wage and hour laws, discrimination and harassment claims, employment contracts, class and PAGA actions, and other related matters. The attorney will be responsible for providing legal advice and representation to clients on employment law issues, as well as representing clients in litigation, arbitration, and administrative proceedings.

Duties/ Responsibilities:

  • Provide legal advice and counsel to clients on a broad range of employment law matters, including wage and hour laws, discrimination and harassment claims, and employment contracts
  • Draft and review employment-related documents, including employment contracts, severance agreements, and employee handbooks
  • Represent clients in litigation and administrative proceedings, including court hearings, arbitrations, state and federal administrative hearings, and mediations
  • Conduct legal research and stay up-to-date on developments in labor and employment law
  • Draft and revise workplace policies, conduct employee trainings, and provide day-today advice and counsel to employers
  • Collaborate with other attorneys and staff to provide comprehensive legal services to clients

Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
  • Active member of the California State Bar
  • Minimum 1-3 years of experience practicing employment law in California
  • Strong knowledge of California employment laws and regulations
  • Excellent legal research, writing, and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and handle a high-volume caseload
  • Experience representing clients in litigation and administrative proceedings preferred

Must comply with MCLE requirements.
